Jackson County Sheriff's Office says father, stepson tackle intruder in home

SUMMIT TOWNSHIP, Mich. -

The Jackson County Sheriff's Office said a homeowner in Summit Township held down a man who had broken into his house Monday until deputies could make the arrest.

In a release about the incident, the office said a 51-year-old homeowner on Hudson Avenue and his 18-year-old stepson confronted the intruder when they found him in the home and called 911.

Deputies searched the suspect, identified as 18-year-old Dakota Claucherty, and found stolen cash, tools and an Airsoft gun on him.
